For Wednesday's episode of The Sports Scouting Report Podcast With Lee Brecheen, Lee interviews arguably the greatest defensive line coach of all time in Pete Jenkins. Coach Jenkins has had an amazing coaching career, which dates back to 1964. Whether it has been at the high school, college, or NFL level, he has done it all. Along the way, some of his notable stops have been at South Carolina, Southern Miss, Oklahoma State, Florida, LSU, Mississippi State, Auburn, the Philadelphia Eagles, USC, and most notably, LSU where he has worked for five different head coaches in Baton Rouge. Coach Jenkins talks about what he is doing now traveling across the country as a consultant. The legendary defensive line coach also talks about some of the great defensive linemen he has worked with recently and finally, promotes the Louisiana Line Camp, which will be entering its 35th year. The offensive/defensive lineman camp is the longest running of its kind in the country and will take place from Saturday, June 19th through Tuesday, June 22nd at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. For the last 27 years, Coach Phelps has been at Jennings High School including the past 26 seasons being the team's head football coach. With over 200 career victories to his credit, Coach Phelps has made the Bulldogs a competitor each and every season including in 2019 when he led the team to a state championship runner-up finish. Coach Phelps talks about that 2019 season, this previous season, the best players he has coached over his career, and more. Also, Coach Phelps tells stories about how his former star running back Travis Etienne's recruitment took off, becoming a star at Clemson, and is now a projected top NFL Draft prospect. Finally, Coach Phelps talks about how his younger brother Trevor Etienne has a chance to become a big time DI running back himself!

Over the last couple of seasons, the Northwestern State baseball team has been one of the top teams in the Southland Conference. In fact, his 2018 team won the Southland Conference Tournament and made a NCAA Regional. On today's episode, Coach Barbier talks about his current team, the competitive Southland Conference, this weekend's series, growing up around his dad Darren Barbier, who was a former head football coach for Nicholls State, and finally, even talks about the best football players he has seen around his dad.

Coach Fisher is originally from Syracuse, New York and talks about his coaching career, which now puts him in New Orleans, Louisiana. Coach Fisher has also been the head coach at stops like Clark, Hahnville, Lake Area New Tech, Cohen, and most recently, KIPP Renaissance. Coach Fisher also talks about his first season at East Jefferson, some of his star players, and even talks a little East Jefferson football as his son Ahmad Fisher is a 6'4 defensive end on the Warriors football team coached by Frank Allelo. Finally, both Lee and Coach Fisher have some fun in predicting what will happen in March Madness!

Abram is a part of the famous Booty family that is known for quarterbacks including the patriarch of the family in Johnny Booty (Mississippi State) along with his brothers Josh Booty (LSU) and John David Booty (USC). Abram talks about being the lone wide receiver in his family, catching passes from his older brother Josh at Evangel as well at LSU, breaking all kinds of national receiving records during his time at Evangel Christian Academy, the great quarterbacks that came through the program, his time playing at both LSU and Valdosta State, and finally, his son General Booty, who just finished his prep career at Allen High School (Texas) and will be playing quarterback at Tyler Junior College (Texas).

For Wednesday's episode of The Sports Scouting Report Podcast With Lee Brecheen, Lee dives deep into a sport that often gets overlooked, which is powerlifting, and what better expert to talk to than one of the best powerlifting coaches in the state in Franklinton High School powerlifting coach John Lambert. Coach Lambert helped start the powerlifting program at Franklinton High School, and now, it is one of the best programs in the state. Coach Lambert is also most known for helping LaRon Landry bulk up to become one of the most impressive looking "Iron Men" in the NFL when he was coaching at Hahnville High School. Besides coaching powerlifting, Coach Lambert was a football coach as well and coached for some of the best high school football coaches in the state over the last 30 seasons including for Larry Dauterive at East St. John High School, Lou Valdin at Hahnville High School, and Hank Tierney at Archbishop Shaw to name a few. Coach Lambert tells Lee stories about what he has seen over his career both coaching football and powerlifting as well as promote the LHSAA Powerlifting State Championships that will be held at ULM's Fant Ewing Coliseum on March 18th-20th.
