Coach Edwards has had a Hall of Fame career whether it was coaching high school football or basketball. He has had great coaching stints at Redemptorist High School and at Central High School where he has won close to 200 games and two state championships in football along with 117 wins plus another state championship in basketball. In today's interview, Coach Edwards talks to Lee about the great players he has coached in the past, the great teams he has been a part of, his thoughts on football currently in the Baton Rouge area, and this year's Central football team. Finally, LAFM editor Jace LeJeune joins the show to talk about some big matchups this week in Louisiana High School football and college football!

Episode 223: Central High School Head Baseball Coach Leo McClure

For Wednesday's episode of The Sports Scouting Report Podcast With Lee Brecheen, Lee changes the pace a little bit and talks some baseball with Central High School Head Baseball Coach Leo McClure. Coach McClure has experience as a head coach in not only baseball, but football and basketball at Central High School and has also even coached and played basketball at Southeastern Louisiana University. Also, his sons Trey, Todd, and Tanna also were great athletes themselves as Trey and Tanna played baseball at LSU while Todd was an All-SEC football player at LSU and a longtime center for the Atlanta Falcons. In Lee's interview, Coach McClure talks about his baseball team that has plenty of DI talent, the other baseball talent around the state of Louisiana, some interesting recruiting stories about Todd when he was coming out of high school, who the best athlete in the family was, and so much more!

Then, he interviews one of Bastrop's best players in senior linebacker Cameron Jackson. Formerly known as Lee High School, the Liberty Patriots are starting their first year playing varsity football in the LHSAA, and their debut season could not get to a bigger start as the Patriots are 3-0 outscoring their opponents a combined 161-7. Lee talks to two of the main catalysts of the Patriots' incredible varsity start as he interviews its head football coach Drey Trosclair and its star junior running back Kaleb Jackson. At 5-10, 210 pounds with incredible track speed, Jackson has already received offers from Baylor, Florida State, Louisville, LSU, Ole Miss, TCU, Texas A&M, Houston, and Tulane.
